Many types of bacteria occur naturally in the digestive tract of animals. In a healthy animal there is a state of equilibrium, so that the number of pathogenic bacteria remains restricted. If this equilibrium is distributed by stress factors etc., infectious diarrhoea can easily occur.

FORTICOAT® contains modified organic acids and fatty acids. The special effect is that the active ingredients are not neutralized by the minerals in the water and the feed.  The anti-bacterial effect end the ph-lowering effect stay effective throughout the intestinal tract.  The enzyme production is stimulated and optimal digestion and absorption is promoted.

FORTICOAT® is used in poultry and pigs. FORTICOAT® is hardly corrosive and user-friendly. The pH-value of the pure product is approx. 4.0.  Dissolved in water FORTICOAT® has a strong pH-lowering effect. Even at higher dosages the pH-value will not lower beneath 4.0 because of the buffer capacity of FORTICOAT®. Problems with corrosivity and taste are prevented.

FORTICOAT®:

  • Has a positive effect on growth and feed conversion.
  • Using specific organic acids in combination with antibiotics heightens the amounts of these antibiotics in the blood, especially O.T.C and growth promoters.

Dosage:

Broilers, Layers and Breeders 1-3 ml per liter of drinking water
Swine 1-3 ml per liter of drinking water
  • Gradual increase of FORTICOAT®-NL to get a maximum result is possible.
  • FORTICOAT®-NL can be added to water in day parts, during 6 – 8 hours a day.
  • At under-dosage (below 1.4 liter per 1000 liters water) particularly certain yeasts and moulds can use organic acids as medium.
